This database can be searched by Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN), keyword or country. All searches will first result in a list of collections. Clicking on the collection title will bring the items included in that collection.

LCCN: Searches by the Library of Congress Control Number, 010 in the MARC record, a unique number assigned at the time of cataloging. Each separate "part" of a same collection heading is cataloged individually and, therefore, has a unique LCCN. Example: 96-903736 Braj poetry (part 1) and 99-935896 Braj poetry (part 2).

Keyword: Searches for words or phrases found anywhere in the collection heading or the item title, including portions of words. For example, a search for "Milli", will return the "All India Milli Council, New Delhi" collection, as well as a number of unrelated collections which contain items where the word "million" appears in the title field.

Country: Using the drop down menu, browse collections related to a particular country. To search for all collections on a specific subject, irrespective of country of publication, do not use this search feature.

Note: Collections without a figure in the "number of fiches" column have not yet been microfiched. The New Delhi Office welcomes requests to expedite microfiching of any collection in this category.
